Staravina
Staravina belongs to a group of mountainous villages that almost have no their attar with farmland.
In 1996 under the administrative-territorial separation of R. Macedonia Mariovo is divided into municipalities Staravina and Vitolishte. With the reorganization in 2004 Staravina the other villages belonging to the Municipality Staravina (Makovo, Rapesh, Brnik, Orle, Zovikj I, Zovikj II, Iveni, Petalino, Budimirci, Gruniste, Staravina and Gradeshnica) have become an integral part of the the Municipality of Novaci.
According to saying of Uncle Petko Petkovski - Churuko (85 yr.) name of the village was out of there a long time ago there were grown vine and wine was made. Over time fertile harvests led to an excess of wine that have been stored and thus the village or neighborhood became rich old wines hence the name Staravina (Old Wines).
The village has two churches, one dedicated to St. "Nicholas Miracle Worker" that was not painted and is now ruined, and the other St. "Mary" built in 1860 and painted in 1887.
Today in Staravina (Old Wines) live barely 20 residents.
